As part of the Scottish Government’s official programme of events during COP26, Mr McKee, Minister for Business, Trade, Tourism and Enterprise for the Scottish Government, hosted a reception on Wednesday, 03 November 2021, at the historic and world-renowned Great Hall of Edinburgh Castle.
This celebratory evening was scheduled to recognise the scale, scope and dedication of intergovernmental and international collaboration that has driven forward the CivTech Alliance COP26 Global Scale-Up Programme. It provided guests an opportunity to meet both the country programme teams and innovative companies involved in this effort.
Wednesday 3rd November
Day one of our ground-breaking intergovernmental collaboration initiative, the COP26 Global Scale-up Programme has explored global technologies that are tackling decarbonisation.
With a welcome from Mr McKee, Minister for Business, Tourism, Trade and Enterprise of the Scottish Government, special guest Gustavo Junqueira from InvestSP in Brazil and live in-person and virtual presentations from global fast-growth companies from the UK, Lithuania, Denmark, and Brazil.

Day two of the COP26 Global Scale-Up Programme entailed a series of presentations from leading, global enterprises on innovative and technological solutions to meet and improve environmental resilience.
With a welcome from Ms Leslie Evans, Permanent Secretary of the Scottish Government, a special guest note and live in-person and virtual discussions from environmentally focussed companies based in Australia; Brazil; Israel; Lithuania; Poland; Scotland, and the USA.
Friday 5th November 2021
Day three of the COP26 Global Scale-Up Programme entailed a series of presentations from leading, global enterprises on innovative and technological solutions to meet and improve food waste.
With a welcome from the Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity, a keynote from Craig Hanson, Vice President of Food, Forests, Water & the Ocean at World Resources Institute and live in-person and virtual discussions from companies based in Germany, Denmark and Brazil.
