Validating products and technologies in Belgium
Sandbox Flanders
The main goal of our initiative is to test and validate existing products and technologies from start-ups and scale-ups. In order to do that we set up short term experiments or proof of concepts with start or scale-ups and a team from within the government administration. Sandbox Vlaanderen is responsible for the matchmaking. To do that we work on both challenge based and start-up based projects. Start-up based means that start-ups come to us to propose an experiment with their product or technology and we look for a suitable partner within the government administration.
The goal of our initiative is for the Flemish government administration to get a better insight into what new technologies can mean for our daily working, and which of them could be interesting for future implementation. For the start and scale-ups we offer the possibility to have their products and technologies tested and validated, use data and expertise from the government administration and they are also offered visibility both within and outside the administration.
